Opening Audiovisual – Space Journey

Opening Audiovisual – Space Journey For this project I was in charge of both the creative and technical direction. The client requested an opening with a spectacular space journey, designed as a single continuous shot lasting about 40 seconds. Scenery & Assets: I curated and assembled nebulae, black holes, and planets from Fab Marketplace, building the journey across hyper-space. Astronaut & Face System: The astronaut model came from 3D Scan Store. Initially the face was a MetaHuman, later replaced with a digital clone of the requested face. This was achieved through RealityCapture scans, ZBrush, Blender, and MetaHuman integration, resulting in a highly realistic digital double. Cinematic Flow: The camera travels seamlessly from vast nebulas to a hyper-realistic close-up of the astronaut, culminating with the final logo reveal. Post-Production: Final color grading and finishing were completed in DaVinci Resolve. The project was fully produced and delivered in two weeks, combining artistic vision with cutting-edge real-time technology

1. Concept & Previz

Single continuous 40s shot requested by client.

Goal: a spectacular space journey with a cinematic feel.

Storyboard and camera path designed for fluid transitions.

2. Scenery & Assets

Nebulae, black holes & planets curated from Fab Marketplace.

Assembly and layout to construct hyperspace journey.

Balance between scientific accuracy and artistic spectacle.

The camera flows smoothly from a vast nebula into increasingly defined celestial bodies: first a black hole, then the sun, and finally a spaceship emerging among drifting meteors.
The continuous movement conveys the feeling of traversing the cosmos throug

4. Cinematic Flow

Seamless camera travel: from vast nebulas → hyperspace → astronaut close-up.

High-frequency detail for transitions (particles, glow passes, volumetrics).

One of the biggest challenges came in the final deliveries: the client requested a high-fidelity digital clone.
Through a workflow combining RealityCapture, ZBrush, Blender, and MetaHuman, we successfully achieved it, seamlessly integrating the realistic

The face capture was done with RealityCapture, using my iPhone as the scanning device. Multiple photographs were processed to generate a high-fidelity 3D model, later refined in ZBrush and Blender.

then all integrated into the MetaHuman system to achieve a hyperrealistic result

After the digital clone was completed, the final sequence was adapted into a close-up of the astronaut.
From there, the transition flows seamlessly into the logo, delivering a powerful and harmonious cinematic ending.

The entire project was developed and delivered in just two weeks.
It combined creative and technical direction, iPhone + RealityCapture facial scanning, refinement in ZBrush and Blender, MetaHuman integration, and real-time space environment assembly.
